The archive contains almost a million items, covering a wide range of information, from books and public publications to radio and television recordings and documents related to the culture of Israeli settlers.

Haaretz says that Charles Berlin is the founder of the project and has spent more than half a century collecting it. His motivation was not only research, but also to create an emergency support for Israel.

According to university officials, the purpose of maintaining this archive is to create a cultural backup so that in the event of fundamental changes or the collapse of Israel, an important part of the regime's works will be preserved.
