Iraq Tightens Security Measures Near Syrian Borders

TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al-Maluma, a security source in the Popular Mobilization Forces, these forces have taken unprecedented security measures along the common border with Syria, especially in the west of Anbar province.

According to this report, the aforementioned strict security measures were taken in the desert areas towards the Syrian border in the west of Anbar after receiving intelligence reports about suspicious movements of terrorist elements.

It was also reported that the Popular Mobilization Forces monitored and searched various areas of the Anbar desert, and during this operation, they managed to discover and seize several weapons and explosives from secret tunnels of terrorist elements.
