Sumud Flotilla Moves Towards Gaza

TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al-Manar, the ships of the Sumud international flotilla left the port of Barcelona in Spain and headed towards the Gaza Strip.

The mission of this flotilla is to break the siege of the Gaza Strip. This move is considered the most extensive measure to break the siege of the Gaza Strip this year.

This is the second time in less than a year that the Sumud flotilla has set off towards Gaza. The level of participation in the current flotilla has been reported to be higher than in previous similar cases.

The previous flotilla set off from the coast of Spain in September 2025 with the participation of 42 boats and 462 people, but the current convoy will include about 70 boats and 1,000 volunteers from 70 countries.

Fleet officials emphasize that their activities are in accordance with international law and that this mission is being carried out in coordination with Palestinian civil society organizations, lawyers and politicians, and navigation and media security experts.
