China's Response to Trump's Threats Against the Strait of Hormuz

TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al-Mayadeen, the Chinese Foreign Ministry, in response to Trump's threats to block the Strait of Hormuz, emphasized that all parties should exercise restraint.

The ministry added that protecting the security of the Strait of Hormuz is in the common interests of the international community.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry stated: "We hope that Washington and Tehran will adhere to the provisions of the ceasefire and strive to avoid conflict."

Yesterday, US President Donald Trump, while under pressure from world public opinion due to the economic consequences of Iran's regional war, once again made his veiled threat against Tehran, this time with a false claim of closing the Strait of Hormuz, a claim that has even been criticized by figures in his own country.

Regarding the publication of reports about China's military support for Iran, the ministry emphasized: "Beijing takes a wise and responsible stance towards its military exports."
