DefaPress –On the occasion of the holy defense week, Mahboobeh Merajipoor, the author of the book "Abbas Dast-Tala" which was admired by the supreme leader and is one of the best sellers of Fatehan Publications has provided DefaPress with a note about the procedure of preparing this book and about resistance literature.

** Depicting a healthy society using Holy Defense literature

It is good for authors, and especially authors of the Holy Defense to observe Islamic and human ethics, to be wise, and to have an Islamic clothing, behavior and lifestyle, because an author can create a new and unique world. They can participate in reinforcing the cultural strength of the country or even impress it by writing a story. They should increase their religious and scientific knowledge so that they can improve the culture. They should be able to understand complex concepts, deal with them in their own lives and in their story's world through Islamic means and present them to people.

The duty of Holy Defense literature and novels is to depict a healthy society. According to the sayings of the Supreme Leader, in our culture fictional literature is not merely an entertainment, but it also leads to the intellectual development of the society.

We are accountable to the eight year Holy Defense and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for our welfare and for eternalizing the Islamic Iran. The least thing we can do is to eternalize their courageous acts and their sacrifices through the art of novels and writing their memories.

Institutionalizing the philosophy of reading fiction is important in our country. Fictional literature is a food for the soul and it spices up life. From a long time ago, people have been familiar with stories, tales and fiction and have lived with them. Paying attention to fiction and reading fiction is very important.

** Abbas Dast-Tala, a book in the field of resistive economy

This book is relevant to resistive economy. During the eight years of Holy Defense, the world sanctioned us. Iranians stood in front of the pressures of the east and the west and filled the battlefields with the command of Imam Khomeini. The lifestyle of people was simple, which was in accordance with the requirements of the revolution. National confidence was high. People had a jihadi spirit. Religious spirituality had a major role in people's lives.

The Abbas Dast-Tala book is about the passion and heroism of resistive and jihadi life. It is not just about the eight years of Holy Defense. The role of people is emphasized in this book; people who were both spiritual and hardworking.

The responsibility of writing this book was given to two authors before me. But the only outcome was a couple of pictures and interviews. Fatehan Publications suggested some topics to me back in 2012. I became interested in the life of Abbas Baqeri. He was a really hardworking man. I saw the interviews, but I didn't like them. The required information was not collected. I had lots of questions about him but none of them were answered in the interview.

They told me that Abbasali Baqeri was an auto body repair technician and he was father of a martyr and that during the eight years of the war, he had gone to the battlefields various times and had taken auto mechanics with himself. In that interview, he seemed to be a man with a strong will and spirit. I decided to interview him again by myself. From the first question, when I listened to his pleasant answer, I was attracted to the job.

I asked, in the myriad of times that you went to the battlefield, did you ever think of martyrdom and getting killed? He replied: No mam, there were so much work that I didn't have the time to think about martyrdom. I had promised to myself and to god that as I go healthy with my group, we should return intact so that we could work for the soldiers. We worked for them with heart and soul; although, we worked for ourselves. That was when I understood I'm facing a different person.

Various questions popped up in my mind. I interviewed him for 25 sessions about three to five hours. The question and answers went on good for a time, until suddenly everything stopped. He did not remember anything anymore.  I postponed the job for about one month, but it was useless and we had almost reached a dead end. I finally resorted to Hossein, Abbasali's martyred son. It came to my mind to ask his friends and to review the pictures dating back to that time. His friends and pictures helped us and we restarted the interview. After seeing the pictures and listening to the memories of his friends, Mr. Baqeri remembered the memories of those days.

I was supposed to finish my job in one to three months, however it took about one year. Thanks god, the publisher gave me the time I needed and expressed that: the book will not be ready on time, however, we hope the outcome will be good considering your writing abilities.

This book is in the form of fictional biography. From the beginning of its publication in 2012, it had a wide audience and was the publisher's bestseller. However, after the favorable comments of the supreme leader, it became the best-seller book of the year in the 2014 national book fair.

I have witnessed that the dear people purchase and read the book with great enthusiasm. They have thanked us for the writing style, for Abbasali's language and the intimacy prevalent in the book and the fact that it gets into details. They have moved along with each and every moment of the book.

I have received a great amount of courtesy, respect and love from the good people of Tehran and other cities. It is interesting that my readers told me we saw a great amount of spirituality and positive energy in your book and we were encouraged to work hard; beside enjoying the book, our insight and intuition was broadened.

I ask Allah to give me the chance to take a small step in satisfying the good readers of my country by writing noteworthy books. I ask all of you to pray for me.
