The Israeli Knesset has passed a law that allows any media outlet to be shut down without a court order.

TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al Jazeera, the Israeli Knesset has passed a law called "Al Jazeera" that allows any media outlet to be shut down without a court order.

Passage of Law to Shut Down Media Without a Court Order in Israel

50 members of the Knesset voted in favor of the law and 41 voted against it. The Israeli Attorney General was also opposed to the law.
