TEHRAN (Defapress) - Reuters reported, citing 3 Lebanese security officials and 2 Israeli officials, that the Lebanese army opposed the Israeli regime's brazen demand to search house-by-house the southern regions of the country to find weapons.

In recent weeks, the Israeli regime has asked Lebanon to take this step to disarm Hezbollah, but the country's army has emphasized that such measures could lead to the beginning of internal conflicts.
Lebanese officials emphasized in an interview with Reuters that Tel Aviv wants Beirut to conduct house-by-house searches, but this will never happen.
Nevertheless, the Lebanese army, in line with the dictates of the United States and the Israeli regime, has claimed that it can declare southern Lebanon free of Hezbollah weapons by the end of this year.
This is while the Israeli regime's ground and air attacks against Lebanon continue despite the implementation of a ceasefire between the two sides.
