Terrorist acts at Iran-Pakistan common borders backed by enemiesPakpour said the terrorist movements at common borders between Iran and Pakistan are backed by intelligence agencies of extra-regional countries.

Pakistan Army General Bajwa arrived in Tehran yesterday at the head of a high-ranking delegation and met with Commander of IRGC Ground Force Brigadier General Pakpour. In their meeting, the two sides stressed to broaden and enhance defense capabilities between Iran and Pakistan.

While welcoming Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Brigadier General Pakpour pointed to the deep historical and cultural commonalities between the two countries and said "US and Zionist regime should be blamed for spread of war and insecurity in the Middle East region and also across the world.”

Given the repeated failures of ISIL terrorist group in Iraq and Syria, it seems that they are seeking other regions in order to do their heinous and brutal acts, he noted.

He seized this opportunity to express his thanks to the unsparing efforts taken by neighboring Pakistan in establishment of border fortifications and spread of peace and security in the region.

For his part, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa placed special emphasis on broadening and expanding regional commonalities.

Considering the problems created by the terrorist groups in border regions of the two countries, he said "under such circumstances that situation is very critical in the region, we beefed up our forces at border regions and managed to thwart conspiracies plotted by enemies.”
