US Ambassador to Israel Sends Clear Message of Threat to President Abbas
TEHRAN (defapress)- United States Ambassador to Israel David Friedman sent a message of clear threat to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in an unprecedented move.
“If Abbas is not interested in holding negotiations, I’m sure someone else will want to. If Abbas creates a vacuum, I am convinced that someone will fill it – and then we will move forward (with the peace process)", Friedman said in an interview with a weekly newspaper, WAFA quoted Israeli Channel 10 as reporting.
Channel 10 reporter said Friedman's threat is similar to that of former US President George Bush to late Palestinian President Yasser Arafat before he was fatally poisoned.
