Iran to avenge loss of border guards in terrorist attackThe President made the remarks while addressing a gathering in the city of Bandar Lengeh in the Persian Gulf province of Hormuzgan in south of Iran.

A Suicide attack on a bus carrying the Islamic Republic Guards Corps (IRGC) personnel martyred 27 and wounded 13 in southeastern Iran on February 12. A terrorist group so-called Jaish al-Adl, affiliated to Al-Qaida, claimed responsibility for the incident.

Inviting the regional nations to promote brotherly cooperation, the Iranian president regretted that “Unfortunately, some neighbors have chosen the wrong path.'

In related remarks, the IRGC Commander Major-General Mohammad-Ali Jafari said on Feb 16 that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia should understand that Iran is well aware of their covert supports to terrorist groups and the country's patience will end.

Also two days after the incident, General Jafari urged Pakistan to reinforce security measures on its common borders with Iran to deter terrorists.

“Iran is keen to have brotherly and friendly relations with all regional countries,” the President underlined.

Iranian president along with a number of his cabinet members arrived here Sunday morning for a two-day visit.
