Any action against Lebanon not to go unanswered

Nasrallah made the remarks in an interview with Al-Mayadeen on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Hezbollah movement. 

Stating that Zionist enemy cannot dare enter Lebanese territories, Secretary-General of Hezbollah Resistance Movement Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah said that Israel knows well any action against Lebanon will be harshly responded.

He said that Hezbollah Resistance Movement has stabilized the equation of deterrence in international arena.  

The onset of deterrence dates back to 1985 when various resistance movements, not only Hezbollah, began with the martyrdom operations against the Israeli enemy, Hezbollah chief said, adding that the enemy knows, as per July 2006 war, that a confrontation with the resistance is highly risky and immense as its capabilities are expanding.   

Stating that the enemy used the border strip as a security belt to prevent the Resistance forces from entering Palestine, Nasrallah reiterated that the deterrence at that time was the achievement of all the Resistance groups that were carrying out martyrdom operations, not just Hezbollah.

The second stage of deterrence started with moves taken by Hezbollah in frontline villages until 1993, he added.

Pointing out that Zionist enemy started deterrence after realizing that it was unable to enter Lebanese territory, Nasrallah stated that enemy considered it dangerous to confront Hezbollah Resistance Movement after the 33-day war. The enemy of Israel knows that any action against Lebanon will be harshly answered. 

Stating that a high level of deterrence was formed from 1993 to 1996, Hezbollah chief said that after outbreak of war in 2006, enemy realized that confrontation with the Resistance Movement is dangerous and great and strength of the Resistance has exceeded the limit of conflict on the border. 

He reiterated that enemy knows very well that any action against Lebanon will be retaliated severely, therefore, it does not dare to attack Lebanon. 

He said that [US President Joe] Biden came to the region for oil and gas, Saudi and Emirati resources won’t fill their deficit.

Not only “Karish” and Qana, but also all oil and gas fields looted by “Israel” in the Palestinian waters are included in the equation vis-a-vis the Lebanese rights.

The US pressed the Lebanese government to approve Hof Line or the Israeli proposition, he said, adding that all fields are under threat, not only Karish.

The US dragged Lebanon to the turmoil of negotiations, while ‘Israel’ started gas drilling and is readying for extracting.

The US and Europe are in need for gas and oil, ‘Israel’ is taking advantage of that. 

On the “Beyond Karish” equation, Nasrallah stated that Lebanon is before a historic chance in light of Europe’s need for an alternative to the Russian gas and oil.

“US President Biden doesn’t want a war in the region, this is a chance we should seize to assert our rights," he said.

This Karish equation is dependent on the Israeli and American decision, he said, adding that there is no Israeli target at sea or on land that the resistance’s precision missiles cannot reach.

He went on to say that if oil and gas are extracted in Karish in September before Lebanon claims its right, we’ll be before an eminent clash.
