Fakhr-1 Satellite launch achieves new record for largest and heaviest space payload
The Fakhr-1 satellite of the Iranian Army has been successfully launched into orbit by the Simorgh carrier.
TEHRAN (Defapress) - The Army's public relations office announced on Friday that the successful deployment of the Fakhr-1 and Saman-1 orbital transfer block, weighing 300 kg, has established a new national record for payload lifting capabilities.
Upon reaching orbit, Fakhr-1 transmitted its initial signal back to Earth.
Simorgh is Iran's only advanced satellite carrier, specifically for transporting satellites to elevated orbits.
Additionally, in early November, Iran achieved the successful launch of two domestically produced satellites, which subsequently transmitted signals confirming their optimal orbital positions.
