Russia Calls to Stop Attacking Yemen

TEHRAN (Defapress) - On Tuesday morning, Russian representative to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzia called for a halt to the attacks by the interim Zionist terrorist regime and the Western coalition on Yemen.

Speaking at a UN Security Council meeting, Nebenzia said that the Israeli and US attacks on Yemen are deliberately escalating tensions.

According to Sputnik, he explained: "It is difficult to describe the actions of Israel and the Anglo-Saxon coalition as anything other than deliberate escalation that led to civilian casualties in Yemen. Regardless of whether they were retaliatory, the scale of the destruction is disproportionate."

“Against the backdrop of the escalation of tensions between Israel and Yemen, the Russian Federation calls on all parties involved in the aggressive actions against Yemen to exercise restraint and refrain from escalating measures,” the Russian diplomat said.

According to the report, Nebenzia also added: “In addition, it is necessary to take measures to protect ordinary Yemeni people and humanitarian workers.”
