Based on this report, Trump stated that he might announce something on Tuesday regarding the negotiations between Ukraine and Russia.

The U.S. President emphasized that territories and power plants are the focus of discussions on an agreement between Russia and Ukraine, and that they are currently discussing the division of certain assets between Russia and Ukraine.

Yesterday, Trump also claimed in his remarks that Vladimir Putin, his Russian counterpart, would agree to the terms of a ceasefire in Ukraine.

The U.S. President, referring to the meeting and conversation between the Russian President and Steve Witkoff, Trump's special envoy, added: "We have spoken with President Putin. We have spoken with many people, and the Ukrainians are waiting. I have a relatively good feeling about Russia regarding the ceasefire and ultimately reaching an agreement."

On the other hand, Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesperson, had previously stated that Putin met with Witkoff late on Thursday and asked him to deliver a message to Trump. Peskov did not provide details about the topics discussed between Putin and Witkoff. Meanwhile, Karoline Leavitt, the White House spokesperson, said on March 12 that Witkoff would travel to Moscow to discuss ways to resolve the Ukraine war with the Russian side.

The Ukrainian delegation and American representatives met and held talks in Jeddah on March 11, after which the office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky issued a statement. According to the statement, the parties agreed to finalize a comprehensive agreement on the development of Ukraine's vital natural resources soon.

Kyiv expressed its readiness to accept Washington's proposal for a 30-day ceasefire in the war with Russia. In return, Washington committed to quickly resuming the provision of aid and intelligence to Kyiv.
