TEHRAN (Defapress) - Rejecting speculations about the venue for the second round of Iran-US indirect talks, Esmail Baghaei stated: "After consultations, it was decided that Muscat will continue to host the second round of these talks, which will be held on Saturday, April 19th."
Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araqchi arrived in Muscat, the capital of Oman, on April 12, 1404, for indirect talks with Steve Witkoff, the US special envoy for the Middle East on the nuclear issue and the lifting of unjust and illegal sanctions, along with Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baghaei, Deputy Political Affairs Minister Majid Takht Ravanchi, Deputy International and Legal Affairs Minister Kazem Gharibabadi, senior negotiators in the field of sanctions relief, nuclear issues, and relevant experts.
During the first round of these talks, the Omani Foreign Ministry was responsible for the oral and written exchange of messages between the Iranian and American delegations.
