Iranian Nation Can Overcome the Most Difficult Threats

TEHRAN (Defapress) - Major General of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Ali Abdollahi, Commander of the Central Headquarters of Khatam al-Anbiya (PBUH), issued a message on the occasion of the beginning of the Sacred Defense Week.

The text of this message is as follows:

In the Name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful

The Sacred Defense Week is a reminder of the days when the great nation of Iran, with faith in Almighty God, following the leadership of Imam Khomeini (RA), and with a spirit full of resistance, steadfastness, self-sacrifice, and devotion, stood against the all-out invasion of the enemies and registered an enduring epic of dignity, independence, and honor in the history of this land.

The discourse of resistance, which arises from religious, national, and revolutionary concepts, was established on principles such as standing against arrogance, relying on domestic capabilities, distrusting domineering powers, and relying on divine power. This discourse was formed in the context of historical events and the collective experiences of the Iranian nation and was solidified with the blood of martyrs and the sacrifices of the self-sacrificing individuals.

One of the turning points in the institutionalization of this discourse was the 12-day imposed war that the enemy started with the aim of weakening the national will; but in the field, it resulted in the strengthening of national cohesion, the promotion of the spirit of resistance, and the redefinition of the people's central role in the defense of the country. This experience, like the eight years of the Sacred Defense era, showed that under the shade of faith in God, following the wise leadership of the Islamic Revolution, and preserving national unity, the Iranian nation can overcome the most difficult threats.

Today, the peace and lasting security of society are also due to that same discourse of resistance and steadfastness that was formed during the Sacred Defense era. The Sacred Defense is not merely a military event, but an eternal school and an endless capital for the Iranian nation, whose teachings have been and will be the guiding light for officials in the defensive, political, cultural, and economic fields, and the continuation of this school will guarantee the survival of the sacred system of the Islamic Republic of Iran and strengthen the sacred front of resistance to confront arrogance.

The Central Headquarters of Khatam al-Anbiya (PBUH), as the central headquarters in the all-out defense of the Islamic Revolution and the territorial integrity of the country, deems it obligatory to be inspired by the values of the Sacred Defense and, under the guidance of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Imam Khamenei, in cooperation with national and military officials, utilize all national capacities and resources to safeguard the security, authority, and progress of Islamic Iran.

While honoring the memory of the days of epic and self-sacrifice and paying tribute to the lofty status of the Imam of the Revolution (RA), the martyrs, and the proud combatants, we hope that by utilizing the precious legacy of self-sacrifice, devotion, resistance, and national cohesion, we will witness more than ever the elevation of Islamic Iran and the realization of the lofty ideals of the Revolution.
