Occupying Regime's New Recklessness with the Assassination of Haytham Ali Tabatabaei

TEHRAN (Defapress) - The Zionist regime assassinated and martyred "Haytham Ali Tabatabaei," a senior commander of Lebanon's Hezbollah, under a completely inhumane and undoubtedly terrorist act by Tel Aviv, over the past two days. This assassination again disrupted the fragile existing calm and the state of neither war nor peace, creating a new crisis in the region and between the two sides.

Of course, in this terrorist operation, the Zionist regime did not only martyr "Haytham Ali Tabatabaei"; along with him, it also martyred two other commanders: "Mostafa Asaad Berro," known as Hajj Hassan, and "Qassem Hussein Barjawi," known as Malak. This clearly indicates that the Zionist regime has entered a higher phase in its conflict with Lebanon's Hezbollah.

However, if we want to examine and investigate the goal and intention of the Zionist regime behind the targeted assassination and martyrdom of Haytham Ali Tabatabai, we must point out that he was an experienced field commander of Lebanon's Hezbollah. Furthermore, this great martyr was considered one of the veteran and long-standing commanders in southern Lebanon as well.

Regional activities and roles

To become better acquainted with Haytham Ali Tabatabai, we must acknowledge that he was an effective figure in organizing Hezbollah's reaction units and contact lines. Moreover, he had special responsibilities in "Unit 3800" and the "Radwan Unit"; units related to Hezbollah's special operations, training, and cross-border activities. This is a matter that ultimately compelled the Zionist regime to assassinate him.

On the other hand, the martyr Haytham Ali Tabatabai was active in various theaters of war and conflict, including Syria, Yemen, and Lebanon, and was known as one of the field and strategic commanders. Furthermore, he played an effective role in the wars of southern Lebanon (until 2000) and afterwards in the new era of Resistance, and founded part of the specialized forces of the Resistance.

Now, the interesting point regarding the importance and status of the martyr Haytham Ali Tabatabai in regional spheres is his primary and exceptional role in introducing drones to Yemen and aiding and assisting the Ansarullah Movement in its path of struggle and battle against the Zionist regime and America. This is precisely the matter that ultimately led Tel Aviv to accept this very high and costly risk and order its illegitimate and occupying army to assassinate him.

Strategic position in the command hierarchy

Another important matter is that Haytham Ali Tabatabai had transcended the level of a field commander and was among those who played a role in designing the new structures of the Resistance. In fact, he was the link between the overall command and the special operational units and had direct participation in sensitive and secret missions. Accordingly, this position had caused him to be considered an irreplaceable element.

Security reports and assessments indicate that the martyr Haytham Ali Tabatabai had the role of organizer, teacher, and tactical designer in the Radwan Unit (Hezbollah's special force) and Unit 3800 (cross-border activities and specialized training). In Hezbollah's new doctrine, these units are considered tools for preemptive asymmetric warfare.

Transnational presence and field connectivity of the Resistance Front

The martyr Haytham Ali Tabatabai was known as one of the few commanders who had an advisory and operational presence in Syria. Moreover, while being mentioned by Western security sources in Yemen, he was also responsible for coordinating operational networks in Lebanon. Accordingly, these characteristics had turned him into a figure beyond Hezbollah, at the level of the Axis of Resistance.

Consequences of the assassination

The martyrdom of Haytham Ali Tabatabai, at first glance, will increase the likelihood of a targeted response from Lebanon's Hezbollah. Furthermore, this terrorist act by the Zionist regime, so far, approximately three days after this terrorist aggression, has led to strengthened social support for Hezbollah in Lebanon.

How will his vacant position be filled?

Despite the very high importance and status of the martyr Haytham Ali Tabatabai within the structure of Lebanon's Hezbollah, because the command structure of this Lebanese Islamic Resistance group is not based on one or several individuals, and because numerous forces are trained to replace high-ranking commanders, and due to the secrecy of the layers of the command hierarchy, another worthy individual will replace this great martyr in the shortest possible time.

The martyr Haytham Ali Tabatabai can be introduced as the field architect of the new generation of Lebanon's Hezbollah battles. He competently and with full power managed to expand the offensive capabilities of this Lebanese Islamic Resistance group, as well as the Axis of Resistance, and create deep and unbreakable bonds among the members and groups of the Axis of Resistance for better activity and performance against the Zionist enemy.
