Second Hope Media Cup Festival Has Begun

TEHRAN (Defapress) - The National Hope Media Cup Festival began with the presence of Eminence Ali Rezaei, the representative of the Supreme Leader in the Organization for the Mobilization of the Oppressed, the organization’s officials and managers, and a group of provincial IRGC managers.

At this ceremony, media elites from across the country will present their works in various forms such as videos, photos, reports, posters, short films, and documentaries.

Morteza Karamuzian, the head of the National Media Mobilization, assessed the mechanism for holding this festival as appropriate and stated: This festival is the largest domestic event whose task is to produce effective and hopeful content.

He continued: This year’s Cup will be held internationally with the participation of 13 countries and will last for two days.

Referring to the dimensions of the Hope Media Cup Festival, the Karamuzian noted: It is hoped that by holding this festival, hope-building in the country will also be promoted.

According to Defapress, this festival was organized by the Organization for the Mobilization of the Oppressed on the occasion of Mobilization Week, and the top performers will be honored at the closing ceremony.

Iranian Nation Stands Firm Against Its Enemies

At the opening ceremony of the International Hope Media Cup festival, which was held on the occasion of Mobilization Week, the Eminence Ali Rezaei, the head of the Supreme Leader’s Representative Office in the Organization for the Mobilization of the Oppressed, stated that divine blessings have been extended to everyone, stating: With the remembrance of God, light shines on the heart and divine blessings will expand.

The Eminence Rezaei continued by referring to the crimes of the Zionist regime and stated: Today, the sorrow of the people of Gaza, Yemen, and Lebanon has saddened the Islamic community, and the awakened consciences of the world have protested this issue.

The head of the Supreme Leader’s Representative Office in the Organization for the Mobilization of the Oppressed stated that crimes have been committed against the oppressed people of Gaza for two years and added: “It is hoped that the Zionist regime will soon be destroyed and the Palestinian people will be victorious.”

In another part of his speech, he pointed out the importance of creating hope in the media and stated: “Any means that can help society grow and develop is a type of media.” The media has been described in seven parts, and human media play a role in this path.

The Eminence Rezaei listed informing, educating, entertaining, and creating social connections as among the goals of the media and noted: “The most important task of the media is to explain the truth to the public.”

The head of the Supreme Leader’s Representative Office in the Organization for the Mobilization of the Oppressed said: “The media speaks of the greatness of the nation and is responsible for the psychological security of the society; also, written and visual media play a role in explaining the truth and attracting the audience.”

He stated: The media plays an important role in understanding the audience, the needs of the audience, producing appropriate messages, honesty, fighting poverty, corruption, and oppression, and supporting the oppressed in society.

In another part of his speech, the Eminence Rezaei stated that we live in hope and said: The most complete media today for creating hope and awareness is the Holy Quran, which has explained many issues well and informed society.

The head of the Supreme Leader's office in the Organization for the Mobilization of the Oppressed added: Today, the greatest hope is to create hope for the future of the country; therefore, those in charge of the matter must strive to build hope in the country.

Emphasizing that anyone who disappoints society regarding the Islamic system and revolution has betrayed the people and the country, he noted: Islamic Iran today is the ultimate honor and pride, and the Iranian nation stands firmly against them despite all the conspiracies of the enemies.

Zafar 2, Paya, and Kowsar Satellites Will be Launched Into Space Soon

The Head of the Iranian Space Organization stated at the opening ceremony of the International Hope Media Cup Festival held on the occasion of Moclization Week: "The space industry began at the beginning of the 20th century and between the East and the West."

Salarieh continued: "In the continuation of the process of space war and space competition, the Apollo project was underway, and we witnessed a political, economic, and authoritative look in the space field."

The head of the Iranian Space Organization added: "With the emergence of China as a space power, the number of satellites increased day by day and numerous space stations were established by different countries."

He then pointed out that the performance of satellite carriers in Iran was stabilized and added: "The space industry is now known as a strategic industry in the world in the economic, political, and security fields."

Salarieh said: In our country, the space industry began with the growth of the missile industry, and the Iranian Space Organization was established with a view to progress in the space industry, and various projects were defined for our space progress.

The head of the Iranian Space Organization recalled: Our turning point was the launch of the Omid satellite with the Safir satellite carrier, which is known as the key to progress in the space industry; various projects were also defined at Sharif University of Technology and other industrial universities, and with the progress of this industry, our satellites were launched into space with high precision.

Stating that satellites with precision of less than five and less than one meter are currently being built, he added: The Simorgh and Qased satellite carriers have increased the capacity to launch satellites into space, and soon the Zafar, Kowsar, and Paya satellites will also be launched into space.

Salarieh stated: "The "Martyr Soleimani Project" is underway to provide Internet of Things services and transfer data from important points in the country to a station. The project to stabilize launchers, including the Qaseed launcher, is also a huge success.

Referring to our country's efforts for space exploration, the head of the Iranian Space Agency said: The Chabahar space base construction project, which began in 1402, has progressed by 93%. This base will soon be put into operation, and the first launch will be made next year.

Salarieh stated: In September 2024, the second consecutive launch of the Qaem 100 satellite carrier was carried out, and the Chamran satellite was also launched into space, which had successful tests; the Kowsar and Hodhod satellites, which were recently launched from the "Soyuz" station, have also been placed in space orbit, which shows the capabilities of Iranian scientists.

Finally, he announced the construction of a more advanced model of the Nahid 2 satellite and its launch in the near future, and noted: Iran will soon send a research cargo to the moon, which will be done in cooperation with the People's Republic of China.

Informing and Narrating are the Two Main Functions of the Media

The Custodianship of the Holy Jamkaran also stated at the International Hope Media Cup Festival: The Quran has been revealed to us in three forms and in three formats; the first format is the silent Quran, which means that if we do not speak to this valuable book, this great book will not speak to us. The second format is the speaking Quran; that is, it is the divine proof next to the Quran, and we must pay attention to the fact that we must pay attention to the speakers and follow their points. The speaking Quran means the interpreter of the Quran, and we must pay attention to it; also, the third format is the embodied Quran, which is the divine book that has been introduced to us in a living form.

The Custodianship of the Holy Jamkaran, pointing out the importance of paying attention to the emergence of Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his return), stated: We are now in the short emergence, and we can shorten or lengthen the small emergence at this stage; in fact, this issue is directly dependent on our actions.

The Eminence Ojaq-nejad emphasized: The role of the media is to attract society towards the Mahdist society and to incline the gray stratum towards the emergence of Hazrat Mahdi (may Allah have mercy on him).

He clarified: Informing and storytelling are the two main tasks of the media, and these two can inform today's society.

Custodianship of the Holy Jamkaran clarified: Today, if enemy media find their way into the heart of society, it is mostly because of poisonous narratives in society; therefore, we must enlighten society against this issue.

He concluded by pointing out: The real work of the media leads to enlightenment; the media can create hope in society and the new generation, and if there is a strong connection between the domestic media and the people, the news will be well reflected.

Media Should Provide Solutions to Solve the Current Situation

On the sidelines of the International Hope Media Cup Festival, the Deputy Press Secretary of the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Nowruzpour, stated to reporters: We hope that there will be more campaigns of hope in the country and more lights will be lit on the path of development and prosperity of the country.

Nowruzpour continued: There is a direct relationship between psychological security and creating hope in the country; the more psychological security increases, the more hope will increase in the country.

The Deputy Press Secretary of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance stated: If someone in society thinks that he has the minimum living standards and that his physical security is ensured, his psychological security and hope will definitely increase.

He added: The media can provide solutions to solve the current situation in society; if the media wants to constantly sow the seeds of despair in the country, the psychological security of the society will weaken and vice versa.

Nowruzpour, stating that one of the main components of psychological security is to find solutions to crises, emphasized: Simply expressing problems does not cure the pain of society, and the media must examine the pain of society and provide solutions for it to solve the problems of society.

Referring to the importance of the media being open-minded in solving the problems of society, the Deputy Press Secretary of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance reminded: One of the secrets of psychological security is unity and cohesion, because the hand of God will be with the community.

He clarified: The media plays an important role in strengthening ethnic unity and the cohesion of society, and each of us is responsible in this regard. We must fulfill our civic duty to unite the society; if our society becomes anxious and worried about our news, it means that we have not fulfilled our moral, religious, and journalistic duty properly.

The Deputy Press Secretary of the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance emphasized: Political bipolarity is due to the low level of psychological security of society; Therefore, we must be careful not to aggravate the main problems of society, and this can be achieved by performing our duties correctly and accurately in publishing news.

In an interview with Defapress correspondent, he also referred to the role of the media in explaining the imposed 12-day war and stated: The role of the media in explaining this war was good, positive, and valuable, which is very important.

Stating that the media played an important role in creating the resilience of society, the Deputy Press Secretary for the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance emphasized: The domestic media helped the society to be more resilient in the face of events during the 12-day war.

Referring to the role of the domestic media in explaining and reflecting the oppression and authority of the country, he emphasized the need to strengthen national cohesion in society and added: We witnessed remarkable solidarity and a united Iran during the 12-day war, and this was only possible with the cooperation and synergy of the media and the correct explanation of the realities of the war.

Finally, in response to the question of whether the performance of the domestic media during the 12-day war was positive, Nowruzpour noted: The performance of the domestic media was positive and good; of course, perhaps a few media outlets reflected less news about the events of the war; but the outcome of most of the media was positive, and I have repeatedly mentioned this issue.
