TEHRAN (Defapress) - The press office of the Permanent Mission of Slovenia to the United Nations, which holds the rotating presidency of the UN in December, told reporters that the UN Security Council will hold a public meeting on Ukraine on Tuesday.

According to the office, the UN Security Council meeting is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. local time in New York. The meeting will be held at the request of Slovenia, as well as Denmark, France, UK, Greece, and South Korea.
The announcement of the UN Security Council meeting comes as Donald Trump announced his peace plan to end the war in Ukraine in recent weeks, following the intensification of US consultations with Russia.
The plan has been met with criticism and concern from senior European officials, especially the UK and France.
The US president said this morning about the progress of the peace talks in Ukraine, "I was a little disappointed that President Zelensky had not yet read the text of the proposal. His people like it, but he does not. Russia, as far as I know, has no problem with it, but Zelensky is not ready."
