The Iranian Foreign Ministry announced today in a statement regarding the termination of Resolution 2231: "The Iranian nuclear issue, which was on the Security Council 's agenda under the title of "non-proliferation," should be removed from the list of issues under consideration by the Council, and with the expiration of Resolution 2231, Iran's nuclear program should be treated like the nuclear program of any non-nuclear-weapon state that is a party to the Non-Proliferation Treaty."
