TEHRAN (Defapress) - The Security Council meeting of the United Nations was held on Thursday, with China and Russia's representatives defending the positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran. China and Russia's representatives, while recognizing the people's right to legal protest, condemned America's interventions in other countries internal affairs.

At the meeting, Masih Alinezhad and Batebi, referred to as "Iran's civil society representatives," were present. They, as always, called for Trump's attack against Iran. A summary of countries' positions at this meeting is below.
Any threat against Iran a flagrant violation of international law
Iran's Deputy to the United Nations, Gholam Hossein Darzi, stated at the Security Council meeting: "Washington uses human rights rhetoric as a cover for destabilizing actions and military intervention."
He said: "The United States, under the pretext of concern for people of Iran and claiming to support rights, is attempting to portray itself as a friend of the Iranian people; while at the same time, it is preparing for political instability and military intervention. Protests that began in Iran have been hijacked by groups.
The Iranian diplomat emphasized that the United States and Israel bear for the bloodshed in Iran. He continued: “Any threat to use force against Iran constitutes a gross violation of international law. Security Council has both legal and political to reject threats of force.” Darzi also reminded of America's human crimes, citing the killing of woman in Minnesota by ICE.
We witnessed widespread rallies in support of the Iranian government
The Russia's representative to the United Nations, Nebenzia, stated: "The United States, by interfering in the internal affairs of another country, has said that if Iranian officials do not come to their senses, the US will take action. To give legal cover to their claims, the US has two individuals from this meeting who have been living in the US for 20 years and are pursuing anti-Iranian agenda inside the US. Such individuals, who are supposedly of civil society, cannot represent Iran."
The Russian representative added: "The sole purpose of the US in taking up our at this meeting is to serve its own interests, and it is pursuing its goals with the individuals it has invited, rather than seeking peace and security The display we witnessed today was a circus and a pointless show."
Nebenzia emphasized: "Russia expresses solidarity with the people of and sees how foreign forces are attempting support subversive actions in Iran and destroy the Islamic Republic of Iran as independent country. Iranian officials have to always defend peace and security and support any peaceful protests, and the government has taken the necessary steps to stabilize the situation and is engaged in constructive dialogue and communication with the people to their grievances."
The Russian representative, referring to the epic of January 22 and the million-person march by the Iranian people in support of their Supreme Leader, stated: Millions of Iranians took to the streets and chanted in support of their country's leadership, and we witnessed widespread marches in support of Iran's government. For global peace and stability, interference in the internal affairs of others must be avoided. Here, we have rules that dictate avoiding certain actions, such as employing the kind of rhetoric used by United States, which includes inciting violence to overthrow the Iranian government.
Nebenzia continued, saying: We have received reports of the use of against military and police forces, attacks on medical facilities and hospitals, and on ambulances and emergency services. Such actions cannot be justified under the guise of human rights or freedom. What we are witnessing is another attempt by the United States to instigate color revolutions, beginning with attacks on security and military forces, government buildings, and even peaceful protesters, as we have seen in other countries. All of these actions are supported by foreign agency services aiming to change the Iranian government.
The Russian representative emphasized: Interfering countries in Iran's affairs are not even attempting to hide their actions, openly inciting chaos and destruction; U.S. President has openly called on protesters to seize government institutions, and American officials are exploiting the economic hardships caused by U.S. sanctions.
China's representative: Interfering in countries' affairs follows the law of the jungle
China's representative, in a brief statement, expressed China's fundamental opposition to interfering in other countries' affairs and stated that such interventions amount to following the law of jungle, and politics cannot mean interfering in other nations' internal affairs.
