TEHRAN (Defapress) - While visiting the Khatam al-Anbiya (PBUH) Joint Air Defense Base, Major General Seyyed Abdolrahim Mousavi, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, while visiting various sections and reviewing the measures taken, referred to the efforts to improve the air defense capability of the Islamic Republic of Iran and stated: “Today, an opportunity has been created for us to be present with our comrades in air defense and to review how the measures and efforts made by them to improve the country’s air defense capability are being advanced.”

Major General Mousavi also emphasized the need to further enhance the country's air defense capabilities and stated: "The continuous and permanent improvement of the air defense capabilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran is one of the country's priorities. Our comrades in air defense have truly taken significant steps in the field of enhancing the country's air defense capabilities in the past few months, with sacrifice, dedication, and selflessness, and utilizing their knowledge, expertise, and great effort, which deserve appreciation."
The Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces continued: "Based on the measures taken in the country's air defense, it must be said that the continued improvement of air defense capabilities is well underway, and this is the result of the round-the-clock and uninterrupted efforts of our comrades in the country's air defense complex."
While appreciating the officials, staff, and fighters of this base, he said: "All the progress is the result of the synergistic, coordinated, 24/7, and selfless work of a group of scientists, researchers, commanders, knowledge-based companies, defense industries, and self-sufficiency Jihad centers of the army and the IRGC. We thank and appreciate all of them and hope that the air defense base will be successful in its path ahead and, while achieving the set goals, will be successful in the assigned missions."
In another part of his speech, Major General Mousavi noted: The Air Defense Force of the Army and the IRGC are powerful, reliable, and valuable arms that can assist the Defense Headquarters in advancing new strategies and goals, and play a fundamental role in enhancing quantitative and qualitative capacities, utilizing new and up-to-date systems and committed, brave, and efficient human resources, and strengthening the defense shield of the integrated air defense network, to successfully confront threats, in synergy with other active and responsible forces and organizations.
