TEHRAN (Defapress) - Western and Zionist sources have been hesitant and backtracking on their past propaganda about the extent of damage to Iran's missile capabilities. The latest assessments in the occupied territories show that many of the previous claims were unfounded.

Israel Estimates 1,000 Iranian Missiles with High-Explosive Warheads Could Be Fired Simultaneously

"Eliminating the Iranian missile threat" was one of the main justifications that the United States and Israel put forward for attacking Iran. The media and Tel Aviv officials repeatedly claimed that Iran's missile arsenal had been seriously damaged and that our country would no longer be able to launch missiles on a large scale in a possible war.

But while Netanyahu continues to emphasize the "destruction of the Iranian missile threat," the Israeli military representative on the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Security Committee has acknowledged that new estimates show that Iran is capable of simultaneously firing 500 to 1,000 missiles with heavy explosive warheads.

Repetition of an outdated claim

A review of the statements of the Israeli Prime Minister and other officials of the regime in recent months shows that their propaganda line has focused on inflicting a major blow to Iran's missile capabilities.

Last August, Netanyahu claimed: "That historic operation neutralized two existential threats: Tehran's nuclear program and its ballistic missile arsenal." In November, he also claimed: "Israel has been able to eliminate the Iranian missile threat."

In this regard, the American think tank "Middle East Forum" also wrote after the 12-day war that talk of mass missile launches by Iran is merely "hype" and does not indicate Iran's real capabilities.

Lies exposed

Six months after the ceasefire between Iran and the Zionist regime, Hebrew sources have gradually admitted, drip by drop, to a high percentage of Iranian missiles hitting sensitive targets in Israel. Now, a more realistic view of Iran’s missile capabilities is taking shape.

The Washington-based Institute for the Study of War reported: “Iran has prioritized the rapid reconstruction of its ballistic missile production capacity over other goals.”

The Associated Press also claimed, analyzing satellite images, that Iran had begun rebuilding its Parchin and Shahroud facilities.

The Times of Israel wrote more bluntly: “Initial estimates by the Mossad and the Israeli military about the hit to Iran’s missile capabilities were wrong and the damage was less than expected.”

The activity of missile factories

This change in assessments has even reached the White House. Trump recently said: “The Iranians are rapidly rebuilding their missile program.” However, he claimed that the US is capable of destroying Iran's missile capabilities quickly.

According to Euronews, Ali Vaez, director of the Iran project at the International Crisis Group, emphasized: "Iran's missile factories are operating non-stop and if another war breaks out, Iran hopes to fire 2,000 missiles instead of 500."

These words were also confirmed by Shlomi Binder, head of the Israeli military intelligence, who provided his information to the US representative to the United Nations.

The Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper also reported that the Israeli military representative in the Knesset admitted that Iran is capable of firing 500 to 1,000 missiles simultaneously in the event of another war.

The Iranian missile nightmare continues

A new estimate by Israeli intelligence sources published by the Times of Israel shows that Iran now has about 2,000 ballistic missiles, a figure equal to the stockpile before the 12-day war.

In the same war, the IRGC Aerospace Force fired about 531 missiles at the occupied territories over 12 days. Israeli sources have been forced to acknowledge some of the extensive damage caused by these attacks in recent months.

Now the question is: What the hell will happen to Israel if another war breaks out and Iran fires four times as many missiles as it did in the 12-day war?
