Venezuela Is Governed by Its Government and People

TEHRAN (Defapress) - Venezuela's interim President, Delcy Rodriguez, stated in an interview with the country's state television: "Venezuela is a sovereign nation, governed by its own government and people."

She emphasized, "We stand firm on the sovereignty and independence of our country and defend the rights of the Venezuelan people in the international community."

On January 3rd, the United States invaded Venezuela, kidnapping President Nicolas Maduro. The White House has threatened to overthrow all left-wing governments in Latin America.

Venezuela's Vice President, Delcy Rodriguez, was sworn in as the interim President on January 6th.
