Destruction of US Military Bases with the Qiam Ballistic Missile

One of the missiles that has hit US interests with force and also played an acceptable role in Operation True Promise 4 is the "Qiam" missile; the Qiam ballistic missile, with its unique capabilities, can accurately strike US interests in the West Asian region.

The Qiam ballistic missile is one of the tactical systems designed to increase range, accuracy, and agility in ground-to-ground missions. This missile is classified as a regional medium-range missile by utilizing new technologies in the fields of propulsion, guidance, and radar cross-section reduction.

Structural and technical characteristics of the Qiam missile

According to information published by official sources, the Qiam missile has an operational range of about 750 to 800 kilometers, a solid-fuel propellant with a short preparation time, a warhead weight of about 500 kilograms with the ability to be separated, an approximate length of 11 meters, and a diameter of nearly 88 centimeters.

This missile lacks conventional control wings, an issue that is considered a generational change, both in terms of reducing the radar cross-section and increasing speed and maneuverability in the final phase.

Newer versions of the Qiam missile use trajectory correction systems that significantly increase the accuracy of the collision compared to previous models.

Reports indicate that the final-stage guidance mechanism, using aerodynamic control and some modifications to the thrust vector, allows for more precise engagement with targets.

Since the introduction of the first version of this missile, several structural and operational upgrades have been applied to it; new versions have greater accuracy, improved warheads, and better performance in the warhead separation phase; some sources also refer to the development of special versions for specific missions, although details and official news about them have not been published.

The Qiam ballistic missile is in the category of tactical systems with high mobility; in fact, the use of solid fuel, wingless design, and detachable warhead makes this missile one of the new generation platforms in the missile field. This system is used to engage fixed and semi-fixed targets at medium ranges.
