TEHRAN (Defapress) - The Oman, noting that the meeting was held yesterday with the presence of experts and at the level of deputy foreign ministers of the two countries, announced that the purpose of the meeting was to review proposals to ensure the continuity of traffic in the Strait of Hormuz.

Without mentioning the venue of the meeting, the Omani Foreign Ministry stated: "In this meeting, possible options for ensuring passage through the Strait of Hormuz in the current sensitive situation in the region were discussed and exchanged."
Iranian and Omani experts put forward proposals that were decided to be examined, but there was no mention of the timetable or final results of these talks.
Mehdi Tabatabaei, Deputy Director of the Presidential Communications Office, wrote today on his personal page on X: "The Strait of Hormuz will open when the damages caused by the war against Iran are compensated through part of the revenues from the new transit system."
