TEHRAN (Defapress) - Russian politician Oleg Tsaryov wrote on his Telegram channel: Russian society has excessively high expectations from the end of the special military operation.

Russian Army Under Pressure of Heavy Public Expectations to Conquer Kyiv

According to him, many media activists promised quick and decisive victories, but the reality is much more complicated. Tsaryov raised the question of whether the liberation of a significant part of "Novorossiya", the creation of a land corridor to Crimea, and the fact that Russia has stood up to the whole world and maintained peace in the occupied territories, are not considered victories?

In an interview with Tsargrad, Tsaryov explained the reasons for the dissatisfaction of the Russian people with the course of the war in Ukraine, saying: "The people were promised that we would be on the outskirts of Kyiv, but this did not happen. Five years have passed since the war, and the situation is very difficult. The president, knowing the complexities of the battlefield, always gave very balanced and cautious assessments, but some Russian officials decided, for some reason, that they could give exaggerated assessments on behalf of the president. Now the president must be held accountable for this; this is not a good situation."

According to Tsaryov, Ukraine is not interested in peace because it receives huge financial resources and weapons from the West. In this context, Tsaryov stated: "The bloodshed cannot be stopped at the moment. Ukraine is awash with money and weapons, and the money that should be spent on current affairs in Ukraine is being spent on war. The Ukrainian officials are impatiently waiting for new money. The money will only be sent to Ukraine if the war continues. This includes $40 billion in budget deficit funding, another $40 billion for weapons purchases, and a €90 billion loan from the European Union. An ocean of money is literally pouring into Ukraine, and they are refusing to stop the war in exchange for this money.

Tsaryov stressed that Ukraine’s internal problems, such as the struggle for power and corruption, have no effect on its willingness to stop the conflict. He asked: Has a single European aid program been stopped because of the corruption scandals in Ukraine? Europe has not stopped it at all. Everything will continue as long as the war continues.
