Iranian Nation's Historic and Epic Farewell to the Martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution

TEHRAN (Defapress) - The Iranian nation's historic and epic farewell to the holy body of the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution and his family began this morning (Saturday) with the presence of various groups at the Imam Khomeini Mosalla of Tehran.

Iranian people from all over the country, from cities and villages, as well as people from many different countries around the world, have gathered at the Imam Khomeini Mosalla of Tehran to bid farewell to the Leader of the oppressed people of the world.

The participants, who attended the ceremony wearing mourning clothes for Imam Hussein (AS) and also mourning the martyrdom of the Leader of the Islamic Ummah, are holding the Iranian flag, pictures of the martyred Imam, the "clenched fist" symbol, and pictures of Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Husseini Khamenei, to bid farewell to the late Leader and, on the other hand, pledge allegiance to the present Imam.

The unparalleled and widespread presence of people, young and old, from the early hours of today has created a rare manifestation of national solidarity and cohesion; a presence that not only expresses the depth of the nation's emotional bond with the martyred leader of the revolution, but also shows that in historical moments, all segments of society, regardless of age, class, and social status, come together to uphold the ideals of the revolution.
