Senate Speaker:
Pakistan Not to Comply with US Policies on Iran
TEHRAN (defapress)- Pakistan's Senate Speaker Mian Reza Rabbani underlined his country's independent policies, saying that Islamabad would not follow the US policies, including on Iran.
Rabbani who traveled to Iran to take part in the Saturday
inauguration ceremony of President Hassan Rouhani, told FNA that his country is
resolved to expand ties with Tehran.
"Islamabad is pursuing an independent foreign policy and does not obey Washington," he said.
The speaker further reminded that his country defied US sanctions on Iran, saying that Islamabad stood up to the Washington policy of pressure against Tehran.
"Pakistan is an independent nation and our foreign policy is not a dictate by the US," he reiterated.
