Parliament Speaker Hails Lebanese Resistance Against IsraelIn a message to Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah on Tuesday, Larijani congratulated the 11th anniversary of Lebanon’s victory in 2006 war waged by Israeli regime.

"No doubt, divine assistance, your wise guidance, and sacrifices made by Lebanon’s resistance fighters have all led to this unprecedented victory in the contemporary history of Islamic Resistance, and brought about dignity and honor to Lebanon, opening a new chapter of resistance by Muslim nations against the occupying regime and its allies,” Larijani wrote in his message to Nasrallah.

He further prayed for the Hezbollah chief’s continued health and success, as well as the Lebanese nation’s felicity and prosperity.

In relevant remarks earlier in August, Hasrallah warned of enemies' plots to disintegrate the regional countries, adding that Israel is attempting to pave the ground for Arab states' collapse.

"Attempts to disintegrate and change the geographical map of the countries in the region and the Arab world are among the dangerous plots which will merely help the enemies to attain their goals and meet their interests," Nasrallah said in a meeting with Senior Advisor to the Iranian Parliament Speaker Hossein Amir Abdollahian in Lebanon.

He also warned that Israel is using every means to normalize its ties with certain regional and Arab countries, adding that the regime is simultaneously taking steps towards the collapse of these states.

Meantime, Nasrallah underlined the necessity for serious attention to unity in the Muslim world, resistance against the Zionist regime's aggression and real campaign against terrorism.

Amir Abdollahian, for his part, said that in addition to its field and effective assistance to campaign against terrorism, Tehran uses all its diplomatic and parliamentary capacities to support finding real and fair political solutions to help settlement of the existing crises in the region, including Syria, Yemen, Bahrain and other regional states.

Nasrallah's remarks came one day after Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi underscored serious opposition to Kurdistan region's bid to arrange a referendum for independence, describing it as illegal and a big mistake.

"The referendum for independence of the (Kurdistan) region is a very big mistake which is not legal and will bear no positive results and instead will add to the existing problems and therefore, we are strongly opposed to it," al-Abadi told MNA.

Stressing that the Iraqi officials should move in line with people's interests, he said that "separating from Iraq's integrated government will not be to the benefit of our Kurdish citizens".

Al-Abadi underlined that there is no opposition to the federalization of Iraq based on the constitution, and doubted if even one single problem of Kurdistan would be solved through separation from the central government
