"This priority should not change under any condition,” Jaberi Ansari made the remarks in a meeting with the leaders and representatives of the alliance of eight groups of Palestinian Resistance and the six groups of PLO based in Lebanon on Wednesday.
Fathi Abu al-Ardat, representing the Fatah movement in Lebanon, Osama Hamdan, representing the Hamas movement in Lebanon, and the Palestinian thinker Munir Shafiq, hailed in a brief statement the fundamental and historical role of Iranian nation, government and leadership in supporting the Palestinian nation.
The Palestinian figures also pointing to the resistance of the Palestinian people and the recent victories in al-Aqsa Mosque, emphasized no party is more honest than the Islamic Republic of Iran and Hezbollah in Lebanon in supporting Palestine.
Iranian deputy foreign minister also called Palestine the heart of the Islamic Ummah, adding "unfortunately, in recent years, due to the engagement of the regional countries with the internal challenges, attention to the Palestinian issue has been diminished; however, fortunately, this attention is coming back to the mainstream and the Palestinian nation plays an important role in this regard."
Jaberi Ansari highlighted the Palestinian issue and opposing the Zionist regime as the first priority of the Islamic world and stressed that this priority should not change under any conditions.
