Hundreds of documents on Central Asian nationals discovered in Tal Afar

Iraqi troops uncovered hundreds of documents from ISIL militants, who were the nationals of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan, during the liberation of Tal Afar, Fars News reported.

The documents were found in the court or the head building of the ISIL terrorist group.

Tal Afar city was completely cleared of ISIL militants on August 27 . The city was listed as the key strongholds of ISIL. Among the documents discovered, the history of Central Asian citizens joining ISIL and information about their participation in the clashes in Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq, are recorded.

According to the headquarters of the Iraqi military forces, these documents will be transferred to the intelligence agency for inspection and investigation.

Based on senior Russian officials, more than 10,000 citizens from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) have been present in the wars in Syria and Iraq.
