Israeli Jets Attack Gaza Strip Again
The warplanes bombed targets in Rafah, local sources said.
Palestinian groups in the coastal enclave had fired three mortar shells into southern occupied Palestinian territory on Wednesday, Israeli officials claimed.
There were no immediate reports of injuries from the Israeli airstrikes.
The development came as weeks after the US decision to recognize Quds as Israel’s capital, protests and clashes between Palestinians and the occupying Israeli forces is continuing in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
The move by the US president in December sparked violent protests in the world and was condemned by majority of the UN member states.
Israel has occupied East Quds since the 1967 Middle East war. It annexed the area in 1980 and sees it as its exclusive domain. Under international law, the area is considered to be occupied territory.
