MP Urges Kurdish Fighters, Syrian Army to Set up Joint Operation Room to Face Turkish ArmyOmar Ousi, who is also the head of the Syrian Kurds' National Initiative, said that the Turkish troops plan to storm the town of Manbij in Northern Aleppo in the coming days, and urged the Kurdish militias and the Syrian Army to set up a joint operation room to face the Ankara forces.

He further said that the Turkish troops are not capable of attacking the town of Tal Rifa'at in Aleppo province because the Syrian army soldiers are deployed in the town.

The parliamentarian said that Turkish troops managed to occupy a part of Northern Syria after a US and NATO green light, adding that the Ankara forces plan to impose full control over a large region to connect the towns of Jarabulus, al-Ra'ei, al-Bab and Azaz.

He further warned that the Turkish troops have also planned an assault on Aleppo city.

Ousi said that Russia will be surprised in coming week and months by Turkey's sudden change of policies in the region.

Ousi further urged the Kurds to pave the ground for the Syrian troops to enter their regions to erase Ankara's pretext for war on militancy.

He said that the humanitarian situation in Afrin has been disastrous after its occupation by the Turkish troops and Ankara-backed militants, adding that 400,000 displaced people are the result of the Turkish occupation of Afrin.

In a relevant development last week the city of Aleppo erupted in protest as citizens took to the streets to demonstrate against Turkey’s assault on Afrin and the US’ interference in Syria.

The protesters called on Turkey to immediately withdraw from Afrin and return all occupied lands, while also demanding the US halt their interference in Syrian affairs.

The mass protest took place inside Aleppo city’s Sa’adallah Al-Jabiri Square, where several pro-government demonstrations took place during the onset of the Syrian war.
