Top General Shrugs Off ‘Childish Alliance’ of US, Israel against IranTEHRAN (Defapress) –Speaking at a ceremony in the Western province of Kermanshah on Friday, Major General Baqeri pointed to recent Israeli threats against Iran and said, “The Zionist regime is nothing more than a bubble.”

“If they think that they can continue their disgraceful lives with such childish alliances, they are completely wrong,” he said, adding that because the future is clear and given divine justice, the Israeli regime is doomed to collapse.

“If the Zionist regime thinks that by setting off several fireworks on its neighbors, it can prevent the (Iranian) nation from reaching its goals, it is completely wrong,” the commander noted.

He further emphasized that the Iranian nation’s goals have been drawn up and that the nation has kicked out the US and its stooges, including Daesh (ISIS or ISIL) and al-Nusra Front terrorist groups as well as some reactionary regimes from Iraq and Syria.

The security and tranquility have returned to the Arab countries and this path will continue, Major General Baqeri added.

The remarks came as top US and Israeli national security officials reached an agreement two weeks ago in Washington on a joint work plan to counter Iranian activity in the Middle East, Israel’s Channel 10 reported on Thursday.

The document, characterized by a US National Security Council representative as an informal “framework,” follows on President Donald Trump’s speech in October outlining a new American policy approach to the Islamic Republic, where he announced that he would not recertify the Iranian nuclear deal.

“It’s more precise to say that it is a framework document, and not a done and dusted plan,” a senior US official told the Jerusalem Post. “It is a framework for future cooperation. It is not the end result of a process, it’s more of a beginning.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has also made several threats against Iran in recent weeks.

Last Friday, Netanyahu told a festive post-Independence Day cabinet meeting, “We hear the threats from Iran. The IDF and the security forces are ready for any development. We will fight whoever tries to harm us. We will not shy away from the price and we will exact a price from those who want to hurt us. The IDF is ready for the job and the people will stand strong.”

In response, the lieutenant commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), in a speech on the same day, cautioned the Israeli regime against its “annihilation” in case of any aggression against the Islamic Republic, saying that Israeli airbases are within the reach of Iranian strikes.

Brigadier General Hossein Salami addressed the Israeli officials, saying, “Listen, if any war happens, it will definitely be followed by your annihilation.”

“The smallest goal would be (ending) your existence,” he said, adding, “You cannot bear it. When your civilians and military forces escape, you’ll have no way but to the sea.”

“Don’t trust in your airbases, they are within reach and will soon be out of service…,” the commander stated.

“Hands are on the trigger and missiles are ready and will be launched at any moment that the enemy tries to carry out its sinister plot against (our) lands,” Salami noted.
