French Forces Deploy More Heavy Military Equipment to Eastern Syria

The French military has deployed a number of heavy weapons in the Eastern province of Deir Ezzur as they have also widened presence in regions controlled by the US-led militants in Northeastern Syria, a militant-affiliated news website reported on Sunday.

French Forces Deploy More Heavy Military Equipment to Eastern SyriaTEHRAN (Defapress)-Orient news website reported that the French forces have deployed six artillery batteries near the village of al-Baqouz in Southeastern Deir Ezzur.

It further said that the French forces have dispatched more military equipment to Manbij, Hasaka, Ein Issa and Raqqa regions.

The website went on to say that the French forces have mainly been deployed to Tal Mashti al-Nour region South of the town of Ein al-Arab (Kobani) and Sarin region in Northern Aleppo and the town of Ein Issa and the village of Khirbet al-Ushaq in Northern Raqqa.

The French forces have recently increased dispatch of forces and military equipment from Iraq to Syria, it said, adding that tens of armored vehicles carrying French soldiers have been seen in the town of Manbij in Aleppo province, in Deir Ezzur province, in Hasaka and in other regions that are under the US-led militias' control.

Smart news reported on Saturday that the French Forces paid a visit to Kandal Field in Western Raqqa in Northeastern Syria that is under the control of Washington-backed militias.

It further said that the French forces left their base in the town of Manbij in Northern Aleppo to set up a security base in western Raqqa, adding that almost 140 militias will go under intelligence- security trainings under the French forces' supervision.
