Iranian deputy FM departs for Geneva
The senior advisor to Iran’s foreign minister in political affairs and the country’s top negotiator for Astana process Hossein Jaberi Ansari embarked on a visit to Geneva, Switzerland on Monday.
TEHRAN (Defapress) - At the head of a delegation, Jaberi Ansari departed for Geneva to hold bilateral talks with Russian and Turkish top negotiators for Astana process later today.
He is slated to participate in a quartet consultation between the three guarantor countries of Astana (Iran- Turkey- Russia) and UN’s special envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura on Tuesday.
The main focus of the bilateral and multilateral consultations will be paving the way for beginning of the work and ensuring the success of the Syrian constitution committee.
