Schools Suspended in Parts of Gaza as Israeli Warplanes Intensify AirstrikesThey said panic was caused in Khan Younis schools after explosions from the airstrikes rocked the city and areas were schools are located prompting education officials to call off classes in Khan Younis, WAFA reported.

Officials said schools throughout Gaza were instructed to decide on whether or not to keep students depending on the situation in their areas.

Meanwhile, Israeli army commanders are contemplating waging a bigger offensive against the Gaza Strip as Egyptian efforts to end the current spree of rocket attacks on Southern Israel have failed to yield results.

The Palestinian factions say the rocket attacks come in response to the Israeli army killing of civilian protesters at the borders with Israel and the ongoing airstrikes that have caused damage to many building in Gaza and panic among the population.

Egypt is continuing mediation efforts between Israel and the Palestinian factions in Gaza to bring calm to the area before matters get out of hand.
