Russia Doubts US Plan to Withdraw Troops from Syria

“The US’ presence in Syria is based on a combination of interests,” Ryabkov began, the AMN reported.

“I don’t believe the US will withdraw its from Syria,” he said, adding that “we are aware of and informed enough about what is happening with regard to the withdrawal or preservation of the US military presence in Syria.”

Ryabkov said that the US’ actions in Syria have not changed, despite Trump’s recent announcement about their withdrawal.
