Turkish Army Soldiers, Ankara-Backed Militants Killed in Kurdish Operations in Northern Syria"At least four Turkish soldiers and their allied militants were killed and several others were wounded in the Kurdish fighters' offensive in Kimar village of Afrin region," media activists in Northern Aleppo said.

They also said that over five Ankara-backed militants were killed and several others were wounded in the course of the Kurdish military operations near the towns of Ezaz and Mareh as well as the key town of al-Bab in Northern Aleppo.

The official social media account of the Kurdish Wrath of Olives operation room, meantime, reported that its fighters detonated a roadside bomb while a Turkish military convoy was moving through the village of Ajil near al-Bab, AMN reported.

The Kurdish group said that at least three Turkish soldiers were killed as a result of the attack, including two military police officers.

In a relevant development on Monday, a militant-affiliated website said that the Turkish Army has set up a border crossing to connect Turkey to Afrin region in Northwestern Aleppo.

Turkey has recently attempted to set up a new crossing between Afrin region and Lawa Eskandaroun known as Olive Branch Crossing, the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported.

The report said hundreds of trees have been cut off in Afrin to set up the crossing that is believed to be mainly aimed at sending commodities to Turkey from Syria.

"This border crossing might be an alternate for two other passages of Bab al-Hawa and Atmeh in Northern Syria," the SOHR quoted some sources as saying.

The report comes as measures against civilians such as plundering and stealing properties of civilians as well as abduction of civilians have increased since the Turkish Army and its allied militants occupied Afrin.
