TEHRAN (Defapress) - Following the leak of confidential information from the office of the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, Benjamin Netanyahu, which, according to Zionist radio and television, has caused an unprecedented crisis between the political and security levels in Israel, extensive research has been done to discover the main cause of this crisis in the occupied territories.

Netanyahu's senior adviser was arrested

In this regard, Axios and Walla citing security sources in the Zionist regime, reported that Yuli Yoel Edelstein, a representative of the Likud party and one of Netanyahu's senior advisors, has been arrested as one of the main suspects.

According to Axios, 4 people have been arrested since the beginning of the Gaza war, the most important of which is Edelstein, on the charge of "involvement in the biggest scandal within the Israeli government since the beginning of the war in Gaza".

The judge in charge of investigating the case said that the leaked information has caused "irreparable damage to Israel's efforts to free Israeli prisoners in Gaza."

Axios continued that the security authorities of the Zionist regime are investigating Netanyahu's involvement in this sabotage. The alleged leaked information will attract increasing support for Netanyahu and his cabinet's hard-line approach, and this issue has fueled concerns about the possible involvement of the Israeli Prime Minister in this disclosure.

On the other hand, according to the report of the "Times of Israel", the judge of the case announced on Sunday the arrest of 4 people in addition to several people in the security structure of the Zionist regime and their interrogation.

So far, Netanyahu has denied the accusations against his office. In a statement, he claimed, "No one from the Prime Minister's Office has been arrested. "No information from this office has been disclosed."

In this regard, Axios said: "At the moment, Netanyahu has claimed that no person from his office has been arrested, who, according to the Israeli authorities, is the main suspect in this case, one of Netanyahu's senior advisers and the closest people."

According to the Israeli Radio and Television Company, since the start of the Gaza war, Edelstein has worked closely with Netanyahu and has attended "top secret and sensitive" meetings although his background has not been confirmed.

On the other hand, according to the report of Axios, Edelstein was not employed as an official of the Israeli Prime Minister's Office due to not having the necessary approvals, but he was one of Netanyahu's advisers.

Based on the Axios report, the information leak will deepen the current mistrust between Netanyahu and the Israeli army.

It was previously reported that the information described as confidential was stolen from the military intelligence department and finally reached the hands of one of Netanyahu's people and from there to foreign media.

Edelstein is said to have provided documents classified as "top secret" to the German newspaper Bild and the Jewish Journal newspaper.

Netanyahu's office claimed that leaked documents were discovered on the personal computer of the leadership of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) to influence Israeli public opinion about the exchange talks.

Leaked documents have claimed that martyr Yahya Sinwar, the head of Hamas's political office, was not interested in exchanging prisoners. Meanwhile, according to Ronen Bergman, an Israeli intelligence expert, Israel's security command confirmed that what was said in the leaked documents is not true.

He added: The disclosure of fake documents to the foreign press has led to a lack of trust between the military security levels on the one hand and government politicians on the other hand.

Before Edelstein's identity was revealed, Haaretz reported in an analysis by its senior analyst Yossi Verter that when the ban is lifted, the truth will be revealed and it will be clear that Netanyahu's office is comprised of corruption that serves his interests and this is proof that a criminal organization appointed by Netanyahu is ruling Israel and Israel's national and security interests are at his service.
