TEHRAN (Defapress) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has arrived at Tel Aviv Central Court to attend hearings in 3 corruption cases.

Israeli ministers, including Israel's Minister of Internal Security Itamar Ben-Gvir, are also expected to appear in the Tel Aviv court.

Families of Israeli prisoners gathered in front of Tel Aviv Central Court in this regard.

Netanyahu is facing 3 separate court cases on charges of fraud, breach of trust, and bribery.

While Netanyahu denies all of these charges, his appearance on the witness stand in front of three judges indicates a decline in his decades-long political standing.

This is the first time that a prime minister in Israel has been called to testify in court as a criminal defendant. Netanyahu has repeatedly sought to delay the hearings, citing the ongoing war in Gaza and other security concerns. However, the judges ordered the trial to resume today but moved it to a secure basement room in the Tel Aviv courthouse for security reasons.
