TEHRAN (Defapress) - The U.S. military confirmed the crash, attributing it to friendly fire, though further details remain unclear. In contrast, Yemeni official Mohammed Ali Al-Houthi, a member of the Supreme Political Council, accused the U.S. of attempting to obscure the event.
In this regard, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, a member of the Supreme Political Council of Yemen, said: "The United States is seeking to cover up the incident of the fighter jet crash over the Red Sea."
He continued that the US Central Command would never reveal the truth about the downing of its fighter jet. This may be an American tactic to avoid further weakening the morale of its troops.
The US military has claimed that the incident was the result of mistaken fire by US forces, while the possibility that the fighter jet was targeted by Yemeni forces has also been raised.
