TEHRAN (Defapress) - The daily casualty statistics in the Gaza Strip reveal the depth of the humanitarian catastrophe. This genocide is accompanied by a blockade preventing the entry of humanitarian aid, a siege that has pushed people to the brink of death from starvation and deprivation of medical treatment.

The Secret of Hospital Bombings in Gaza's Most Horrific Days

Yesterday morning (Tuesday), in yet another bloody and horrific night, 126 Palestinians were martyred in widespread airstrikes by the Zionist regime across various areas of Gaza. These attacks mark an escalation in the genocidal war that has persisted for over 19 months against the oppressed, defenseless, yet resilient people of Gaza.

According to Munir al-Bursh, Director-General of Gaza’s Health Ministry, the occupying Israeli army committed several massacres overnight by targeting residential homes.

He stated: "The number of martyrs may rise further due to the high number of wounded and missing." The Zionist regime’s army is carrying out the most brutal form of ethnic cleansing and genocide against the people of Gaza, targeting civilian homes and killing them in both the north and south of Gaza.

The occupying Zionist army intensifies its genocide in Gaza day by day, despite U.S. President Donald Trump’s promise to Palestinians during his regional visit of a "better future and an end to hunger."

Gaza’s Health Ministry also reports that with the occupiers escalating attacks on hospitals, all public hospitals in northern Gaza are now out of service. The ministry confirmed that "Beit Hanoun" and "Kamal Adwan" hospitals have been destroyed, while the "Indonesian" Hospital in northern Gaza is also unable to function.

Gaza’s health officials emphasize that the occupiers deliberately target hospitals to render them inoperable.

The condition of patients in Gaza is dire. The "Al-Shifa" medical complex and "Al-Ahli Al-Ma’madani" Hospital are calling on citizens to donate blood to save the wounded.

The Director-General of Gaza’s hospitals told Al Jazeera: "The occupiers have put Gaza’s largest hospitals out of service, and their actions against the healthcare sector are leading to the deaths of patients and the injured."

He also warned: "Famine in Gaza is having catastrophic consequences, and various diseases are spreading."

Marwan al-Sultan, Director of the Indonesian Hospital, told Al Jazeera: "The Indonesian Hospital is under complete siege, and the occupiers are shooting at anything that moves."

He stressed: "Occupying warplanes are targeting the ICU with bullets, and the situation has become disastrous due to these attacks."

The Indonesian Hospital director further emphasized: "This hospital can no longer provide services in northern Gaza!"

He questioned: "Why are hospitals being targeted when they only contain patients and medical staff?"

In the interview, he called on international institutions to pressure the Zionists to allow medical teams to work.

Sakher Hamad, Director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, told Al Jazeera: "Given the catastrophic state of hospitals in northern Gaza, and despite this hospital receiving the wounded, no coordination has been made for its evacuation. Meanwhile, the area around the hospital has been bombed 10 times, causing massive damage."

Gaza’s Civil Defense is also suffering from fuel shortages. The agency announced that due to the lack of fuel, 75% of its vehicles across all Gaza governorates are out of service.

The agency warned that if fuel does not reach them, their vehicles will completely stop within 72 hours, and their teams will be unable to perform their duties.

In another development, Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner-General of UNRWA, warned that the humanitarian crisis in Gaza is worsening and that "minutes are ticking toward famine."

In a post on X, he wrote: "The people of Gaza are dying while aid piles up outside Gaza, and food and medicine expiration dates are running out."

Lazzarini called for an immediate lifting of the blockade and the opening of crossings for humanitarian aid, stating: "Let us do our job. There is no need to reinvent the wheel."

He stressed: "The humanitarian community, including UNRWA, has the readiness and experience to reach those in need inside Gaza as soon as entry is permitted."

Earlier, the UN had announced that aid allocated to Gaza had been halted for over two months, despite supplies being available at the borders, as the Zionist regime prevents their entry.

Notably, the Zionist regime has besieged Gaza for 18 years, leaving around 1.5 million out of 2.4 million residents homeless after their homes were destroyed in the genocidal war. Additionally, Gaza faces severe famine as Tel Aviv has closed crossings to vital aid.

In early March 2025, Phase I of the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement between Hamas and Israel, which began on January 19, 2025, mediated by Egypt and Qatar with U.S. support, concluded, with Hamas adhering to it. However, Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of the occupying regime, refused to proceed with Phase II and resumed the genocide in Gaza on March 18 to appease the demands of his far-right extremist coalition and secure his political interests.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with full U.S. backing, has committed genocidal crimes in Gaza, martyring or injuring around 174,000 Palestinians, mostly children and women, with over 11,000 still missing.
