Hamas Sets Condition for Laying Down Its Weapons

TEHRAN (Defapress) - "Mohammad Nazzal", a leader of Hamas, stated in an interview with Al Jazeera: Handing over weapons to the resistance is contingent on the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

Regarding the process of releasing Palestinian prisoners from Israeli prisons, he said that until now, the final list of Palestinian prisoners who are to be released has not been received.

He continued that the resistance is ready for any betrayal or conspiracy by the Zionist occupiers.

The Hamas official noted that Netanyahu has told the mediators that he does not want a new batch of prisoners to be released, and this is part of his evasion of the agreement's obligations.

Previously, Ghazi Hamad, a leader of the Hamas movement, announced that the Zionist regime is engaging in deception in the list of prisoners and is even acting in a double-edged and dishonest manner in its treatment of the Americans.

He emphasized that Hamas is cooperating with the mediators to fully implement the agreement in all its details and has called for strict monitoring of the occupiers' actions.
