TEHRAN (Defapress) - The Palestinian Authority Media Office in Gaza announced in a statement that 173 trucks carrying humanitarian aid entered the Gaza Strip through the border on Sunday, October 12, the first day after the ceasefire was declared.

The statement said that the shipments included 3 trucks of liquefied petroleum gas and 6 trucks of diesel fuel to power bakeries, generators, and hospitals, while the urgent need for these essential materials is felt due to the long siege.

However, the quantities imported are very limited and cover only a small portion of the sea of ​​needs for the more than 2.4 million people in the Gaza Strip, the statement added.

The statement said that the Gaza government offices continue to coordinate with international organizations and aid agencies to organize the arrival and distribution of aid.

Under Trump's Gaza ceasefire agreement, at least 400 truckloads of humanitarian aid are to be sent to the people of Gaza daily.
