TEHRAN (Defapress) - In an interview with the Defapress Correspondent, Brigadier General Hassan Hassanzadeh, Commander of Tehran's headquarters IRGC, referring to the activities of the IRGC and Basij patrols during the 12-day imposed war, stated: “Given the preparations and training of our forces, during that period, a series of intelligence patrols, operational patrols, foot, motorcycle, vehicle, and combined patrols, and stops and inspections were activated in various places such as highways, main streets, squares, neighborhoods, northern heights, and even the outskirts of Tehran.”
Explaining the mechanism for implementing these plans, Brigadier General Hassanzadeh said: “With the help of Basij forces in its districts, bases, and battalions, we have succeeded in implementing this comprehensive plan in Tehran, which has various stages, and we have also made necessary arrangements for the future.”
Regarding the continuation of Basij patrols, he said: “Currently, the number of these patrols is limited and has decreased compared to the 12-day imposed war, but the forces are fully prepared and have an active presence.”
The Commander of Tehran's headquarters IRGC continued: “Today, the main mission of the organized Basij teams is to help the people, assist the police, and control the situation in neighborhoods, passages, and entry and exit points.”
Referring to the experiences gained from the 12-day imposed war, Major General Hassanzadeh said: “We have made our plans more complete and practiced these plans for different stages and conditions.”
He added: "Based on our experiences, we have anticipated various scenarios and prepared ourselves for any situation. Our actions range from humanitarian aid and urban services to a tough confrontation with any armed group that wants to create the slightest insecurity in Tehran."
The Commander of Tehran's headquarters IRGC emphasized: "Today, in terms of all aspects related to defending the Islamic Revolution in confronting soft and hard threats, our state of readiness, plans, equipment, and facilities are far superior and beyond what it was before, especially after the 12-day imposed war."
Brigadier General Hassanzadeh emphasized: "Our people should rest assured, because the IRGC, Basij, and armed forces consider themselves to be the sacrifices of this nation and will definitely stand in the face of any threat with full readiness and will not allow the security and peace of our people to be disrupted by the counter-revolution and enemies."
The Commander of Tehran's headquarters IRGC said: "We will sacrifice ourselves in the defense of our nation, revolution, and country, and we are proud to be dedicated to this great nation."
