TEHRAN (Defapress) - Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyyed Abbas Araqchi, and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, discussed and exchanged views on the latest bilateral relations and regional and international developments during a telephone call.

Iran's Foreign Minister, while emphasizing the importance of long-standing and friendly relations between the two neighboring and Muslim countries, emphasized Iran's determination to expand and develop relations in various fields.
Expressing concern about the current situation between Afghanistan and Pakistan, Araqchi emphasized the need to continue dialogue between the two sides with the cooperation of influential countries in the region to resolve differences and reduce tensions, and announced the readiness of the Islamic Republic of Iran for any kind of assistance to achieve this goal.
The Pakistani Foreign Minister, explaining the latest situation and the results of the talks between his country and Afghanistan following recent developments, stressed the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the region.
The parties agreed to continue consultations in this regard.
