Statement by Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Trump’s Anti-Iranian Statements in the Zionist Knesset

TEHRAN (Defapress) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemns the baseless accusations and irresponsible and shameful claims of the US President regarding Iran, which were made on Monday in the Zionist regime's Knesset and in the presence of genocidal criminals.

The US, as the largest producer of terrorism in the world and a supporter of the terrorist and genocidal Zionist regime, has no moral authority to accuse others.

The Iranian people, with deep respect for the eternal hero of Iran and the region, Martyr General Qassem Soleimani, who played an unparalleled role in confronting the US-produced ISIS terrorism, will never forgive or forget the brutal crime of the US in assassinating that great man and his companions.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasizes that the repetition of false claims about Iran’s peaceful nuclear program can in no way justify the joint crime of the US and Zionist regimes in attacking the sacred soil of Iran and assassinating the zealous children of Iran. Pride and confession of crimes and aggression only increase America's responsibility for committing these crimes and demonstrate the depth of American policymakers' hostility towards the great people of Iran.

America's complicity and active participation in the Zionist regime's genocide and war-mongering in occupied Palestine is no secret to anyone, and America must be held accountable for its role in the Zionist regime's impunity, including preventing any effective action against Israel in the UN Security Council and obstructing international judicial processes to try Israeli criminals.

America's interventionist policies in the region, supporting the occupation and crimes of the genocidal regime of Israel, along with unlimited arms sales to the region, have made America the greatest cause of instability and insecurity in the region.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs sees the US President’s expressed desire for peace and dialogue in conflict with the hostile and criminal behavior of the US against the Iranian people. How can one invade a country’s peaceful residential areas and nuclear facilities in the midst of political negotiations, martyr more than a thousand people, including innocent women and children, and then claim peace and friendship?!

Iranians, relying on their rich culture and historical heritage, are logical, communicative, and interactive, and at the same time act with courage and determination in defending Iran’s independence, national dignity, and supreme interests.
