TEHRAN (Defapress) - The Sahand 2025 military exercise is currently underway in the northwest of Iran, where various Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states and several guest countries are demonstrating their capabilities in a unified drill.

What Is the Message of the Sahand 2025 Exercise for the Zionist Regime?

This exercise is being held in the general area of Shabestar, and significant countries such as Pakistan, China, Russia, and India are also showcasing their military capabilities in this drill. The participation of these countries demonstrates that Iran has been able to gather a spectrum of credible military powers and prepare for a major exercise.

In recent months, especially after the 12-day war, opposition media have attempted to imply that Iran has lost its international credibility and stature and has become isolated. This is while Iran has acted very strongly and effectively on the international stage, particularly in defense diplomacy, and the continuity and expansion of interactions with various countries is evidence of this claim.

Another important aspect of this exercise is its message to some hostile governments that harbor thoughts of aggression against the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The Zionist regime has repeatedly threatened Iran with military attack in the past one or two months, and this issue has even been coupled with threats from the U.S. president. Therefore, an enemy that faces numerous and countless problems within its own society and is on the path of collapse might, by disregarding a cost-benefit assessment, launch an attack again.

One of the messages of the Shanghai exercise is that Iran, as an international military power, is constantly evaluating and enhancing its military strength. As it demonstrated during the 12-day war, in the event of a comprehensive attack by the Zionist regime and its allies, it can defeat them. In this context, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Ground Force has specifically designed a major international exercise, and despite the presence of powers such as China and Russia in this exercise, the command has been assigned to Iran. This is because Iran displayed its military capabilities during the 12-day war and defeated the Hebrew-Western-Arab coalition despite their quantitative superiority in facilities and equipment.

Another message of the Sahand 2025 exercise is the serious confrontation against terrorism using pre-determined plans. This is because the Zionist regime cooperates with anti-Iranian terrorist groups near the western and eastern borders of Iran, such as PJAK, PKK, Qasemlous, Komala, Democrat, Jaish al-Zulm, Ansar al-Furqan, and others, providing them with training, weapons, and equipment. However, in the past two decades, the IRGC Ground Force has utilized its capacities in the Hamzeh Seyed al-Shohada Garrison and Najaf Ashraf Garrison in the northwest and west of Iran, and the Quds Garrison in the southeast to confront Salafist and Takfiri terrorists.

Based on this, General Vali Ma’adani, as the commander of the Sahand 2025 exercise and Deputy of Operations of the IRGC Ground Force, describes Iran as an architect and an experienced country in the fight against terrorism. Therefore, this exercise is a clear message to the Zionist regime that if it encourages terrorists to carry out an organized attack similar to what it did in Syria, Iran will firmly stand against these evils. For example, the elite Saberin Special Forces Brigade and the Mirza Kuchak Khan Brigade are two powerful units of the IRGC Ground Force that have repeatedly fought terrorists in the northwest and southeast of Iran and achieved numerous successes in strategic areas such as Oshnavieh, Jasosan, Qandil, Iranshahr, Sarbaz, Zahedan, Zabol, Qasr-e Qand, and others. These successes confirm the authority of Iran's armed forces in confronting terrorism.

By testing its capabilities in the joint international Sahand 2025 exercise, the IRGC Ground Force further enhances its preparedness to confront terrorist groups, safeguarding Iran's security alongside other armed forces.
